We delivered two days of training to their enthusiastic and talented teachers to help them deliver engaging Shakespeare workshops as well as start their own after school drama club!
Anna Warren said "Training was fun and engaging. The team involved were able to learn new games and activities to engage and warm children up for our drama club. The activities were pitched appropriately for primary-school-aged children.".
After the initial training, Dominique visited the drama club and offered extra support and advice as the school put together their own performance of our play Verona Road. "Regular visits from Dominique during club time has been excellent as her expertise and familiarity with the original version of the production has helped keep teachers and children focused on the end result."
Teachers Anna and Fumi brought a wealth of teaching experience, confidence and ability to the INSET days and now say "We feel more confident to do Shakespeare independently next time. Training was fun and informative. We would recommend Intermission Outreach to schools for whole staff drama training, as the skills and activities learned were engaging and could be used across the curriculum on a weekly and sometimes daily basis. I personally feel much more confident using drama in the classroom."
